19 JUL 2013 – Protest in memory of the victims of Candelaria. In 1993, eight teens were killed by police in the city of Rio de Janeiro, the crime became known as "the slaughter of the Candelaria". A walk organized by the Movement Candelaria led the mothers and relatives of the victims to the streets to protest against police violence and honor the dead of the massacre.
