Ethnographic research, with photographic documentation, held in the city of Seropedica, Rio de Janeiro, located at the Baixada Fluminense. The aim of this work is to describe and analyze rural-urban wagon drivers live and work conditions. The existence of wagon traffic in the high intensity urban zones is analyzed as a pragmatic phenomenon of psychosocial practices which gain importance when working in the perspective of rural-urbanity, breaking the dichotomy between rural and urban. In the study case fitted in a wider research program about the rural-urban-rural environmental dynamics and territorial ordination processes that come from it, developed by a group of researchers from the Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro, coordinated by Dra. Rosa Cristina Monteiro,  the iconographic survey through photography is an essential part of the methodology used. © Stefano Figalo/ SFP​
